It’s only taken us 47 years, but we have finally gone back to our roots to bring in two stunning collections of Irish wools. As it turns out, Cahill is one of the oldest names in Ireland and can be found in village and boutique names across the country. While our founder (Bernie) was raised in England, his family before him all hailed from County Wicklow, Ireland.
So we are excited to introduce IrelandsEye to Cahill’s (coming soon), a beautiful collection of knitwear made in Dublin, Ireland in traditional bulky Aran knits as well as refined modern knitwear in a range of earthy and pastel tones. We are also introducing Mucros wool hats and scarves which are made on 200 year old looms in Muckross House, Killarney, that have just arrived and are available in-store and online. Coincidentally, the Master Weaver at Muckross is also a Cahill–John Cahill, who has worked there since 1974.
In line with our commitment to provide the highest quality natural fibre clothing and accessories for today’s lifestyle and demands for sustainability of nature and the support of small communities, we believe these collections will be a welcomed addition to the Cahill offering for our customers in the Kawarthas and across the country.
We hope you have a look and enjoy these beautiful Irish collections
