"This coat was gifted to me by my sister about 5 years ago. I always wanted a nice wool coat and she was lucky enough to find this one in a thrift store in Toronto. I loved it but I barely ever wore it because the fur around the hood was not the prettiest. I was going through my closet, getting rid of some things and I was about to sadly put this coat in the donate pile when my roommate mentioned that Cahill's in downtown Peterborough could probably give it a new life. The friendly and knowledgeable staff make this experience one like no other. I spent quite a bit of time there looking at possible options for my coat. I loved every moment of it. Once we found the perfect piece of fur, I was relieved that my wool coat could be salvaged.

 

Once my coat was ready for pick up, I was blown away with how amazing it looked. They had gone above and beyond. Not only did they revamp the fur around the hood, they also got it professionally cleaned and shaved. I was almost in tears. I now wear this coat every day and am constantly complimented on it. Cahill's turned my rough-around-the-edges 1970's thrifted James Bay wool coat into a piece of wearable art. I would and have been recommending their services to everyone who comments on my fab new coat.

In 1989 I bought the Barbour jacket on the left. I’ve had it ever since but it had gotten pretty ratty looking, so decided to treat myself to a new coat - the one on the right. Had my sister bring it over from England. Really pleased with it, so I went to throw out the old coat…I just couldn’t! Went online and found you can get your coat restored in England. Was about to send it over when I found Cahill’s in Peterborough Ontario, sent it to them and for a nominal price they have fully restored my 34-year-old coat!!!
